Festival La Gacilly – Baden Photo

Immerse yourself in one of the largest photographic exhibitions in Europe, which transforms the city of Baden into a magical "picture garden world".  Stroll through 27 open-air galleries, with many house facades spectacularly clad with international photography.  The parks, alleys and squares of the city of Baden are transformed into a work of art through the aesthetic magic of picture narratives by the best photographers in the world.  1500 images on canvases up to 280 m² in size will be displayed under the title VIVA LATINA.

The Festival of Roses presents the opening event as a kind of portal into the colourful world of the park with its imaginative garden and rose shows that enchant and transport you away from everyday life.  Many events are dedicated to the rose, for example, scented walks including professional tips from garden professionals and picnics.

Harness Racing in Baden bei Wien

Up close and personal at one of the most beautiful summer racetracks in Europe....
Opened in 1893, the harness racing course on the outskirts of Baden has always attracted the city's high society on the one hand and all the soldiers of fortune in the surrounding area on the other.  In the VIP area and especially in the Kaiser lounge, you can witness the exciting happenings very close to the track and join in the betting.  The racing club is one of the oldest and largest institutions of its kind in Austria and offers a spectacular programme every year from the end of June to the end of August.

On the first two weekends in September, the ‘Genussmeile’ with its culinary stands will once again invite visitors to stroll through the lush greenery.  Very typical for the region are its "Schmankerln" (delicacies) which gourmets can sample at the hosts of the Lower Austrian tavern culture and at regional producers.
